Organoaluminium compounds are very reactive.If substance are capable of attacking one of the methyle groups in trimethylaluminium, then the process likely does not stop until all the carbon alluminium bonds are broken. Many organometallic compound are easily hydrolyzed to the respective hydrocarbons and methyle hydroxides.In this case the product are methane and more likely alluminium oxides, because the formation of alluminium tryhydroxides require more ammount of water
