1-methylcyclohex-1-ene is formed by dehydrohalogenation of 1-bromo-1-methylcyclohexane with alcoholic KOH. If there is possibility of formation of more than one alkene, then major product is identified by C. According to 1-methylcyclohex-1-ene, during dehydrohalogenation, more substituted alkene is the major product.
