The structures of the given compounds are as shown:
(i) 2-chloro-3-methyl pentane:
The parent chain is pentane containing 5 C atoms and a chlorine atom and a methyl group are present as substituents on second and third carbon atoms.
(ii) p - bromo chloro benzene:
Benzene ring has two substituents one bromine atom and one chlorine atom. Both are para to each other. Hence, it is 1,4-disubstituted benzene.
