Types of plants based on their life span:

1.Annuals - Annuals are plants which complete their life cycle within one season.

Eg: Rice, watermelon & sunflower are examples of annuals.

2.Biennials - Plants like cabbage, carrot and leek complete their life cycle in two seasons & are called biennials.

3.Perennials - Perennials are plants that survive for a number of years. Examples of perennials are mango, coconut, apple & bougainvillaea. During specific seasons perennials produce flowers & fruits.
