Solution

Step 1: Given

Depart time=1515 hours

Arrival time=1705 hours

Step 2: Rule of conversion

  1. The 12-hour system divides the 24 hours of a day into two periods lasting 12 hours each.
  2. The first 12-hour period is designated as am(ante meridiem), It runs from midnight to noon.
  3. If the time is less than 12 hours it will be am, if greater than 12 hours then we have to subtract 12 hours it will be pm.

Step 3: Changing the time format

Depart time = 1515 hours - 1200 hours =03:15 pm

Arrival time = 1705 hours - 1200 hours = 05:05 am

Hence, arrival time 03:15 am, depart time 05:05 pm.
