(i) Müllerian mimicry: In this type of mimicry, two different but related species attempt to mimic each others warning sign in the mind of their common predator.
Example -monoarch butterfly and queen butterfly.
(ii) Aggressive mimicry: It is adopted by predators. They pose that they are harmless allowing them to avoid being identified by their prey.
For example,
Praying mantis uses different strategies to blend themselves with the immediate surrounding to deceive the prey like imitating a flower.
