Let the given quadratic polynomial be f(x) = x²+2kx+2

• Given one of the zero of the quadratic polynomial is 2.

Hence f(2) = 0

Put x = 2 in f(x),

we get,

f(2)=(2)² + (2×k×2) + 2
0 = 4 + 4k + 2
0 = 4k + 6
-4k = 6
k = -(6/4 ) = -(3/2)

So value of k is -(3/2)
