Solution

A chemical change can be represented in form of a chemical reaction. Many changes can indicate a chemical change such as:

  1. change in color.
  2. change in smell.
  3. change in energy.

Change in energy is one of the many changes that are observed during a chemical change. Energy can either be released or it could be absorbed during a chemical change.

Energy can be of any form like light, electricity, sound, heat, and so on.

Depending on the heat, there are two types of chemical reactions.

  1. Endothermic reaction: A reaction in which heat is absorbed is called an endothermic reaction.
  2. Exothermic reaction: A reaction in which heat evolves is called an exothermic reaction.
