Solution

The correct option is B False

Characteristics of Diamonds:

  • As all the carbon atoms in diamonds are covalently bonded, there are no free electrons that can move.
  • Since the conduction of electricity requires the presence of free electrons. Hence, diamond is a bad conductor of electricity.
  • But the diamond is a good conductor of heat as the conduction of heat does not require the presence of free electrons but the vibration of the atom which passes from one atom to the other.

Therefore, the given statement is false.
