  • Example: Quartz, Calcite, Clay
  • Ores are defined as the substance from where metals are extracted on commercial and economical basis.
  • For example, Aluminium containing ores are namely Bauxite (Al2O3.2H2O) and Clay (Al2O3.2SiO2.2H2O).
  • Ore of Aluminium is only Bauxite.
  • Clay is not considered the ore of Aluminium because it contains Silicate minerals, and so it can not be used.
