Solution

The correct option is A True
Location of the testis

The testis, in the foetus, is found in the abdominal cavity. Just before birth, the testes descend into sac-like structures called scrotum found extra-abdominally. The scrotum keeps the temperature of the testis around 2 to 2.5℃ less than the body temperature, thus enabling spermatogenesis.

Effect of undescended testis

If the testes do not descend into the scrotum, the sperms produced would get killed by the high abdominal temperature, causing sterility in the male.
