2.The two effects of Van der waal's force of attraction are:

i) The atomic radius of noble gas is high compared to the halogen of respective period due to the Vander waal's radius in noble gases.

ii)Radius of covalent molecules is less compared to ionic compounds due to weak Vanderwaal's forces…

iii) Mellting and Boiling points of covalent compounds are dependent on Van der waals forces of attraction
