• Anti means against; septic comes from sepsis which means infection or inflammation.
• Whenever a person gets a wound or cut, there are chances of the development of inflammation or infection on the skin.
• In order to prevent this condition, antiseptics are used.
• Examples: Antiseptics can be natural or man-made.
