There are several factors affecting climate of a place. Two of them would be:

• Latitude (distance from the equator): Areas near the equator are warm whereas as one moves further up, the climate becomes colder.
• Relief of the land: The topography of place affects the climate and that is the reason, mountains have colder climate than the low lying areas.
