1. Arthropods are terrestrial animals with jointed legs and segmented bodies i.e., divided into head, thorax, and abdomen.
2. The body is protected by a hardcover called exoskeleton which is made of chitin.
3. These animals show bilateral symmetry, i.e., their body can be divided into two equal halves through only one plane.
4. Ant, mosquito, cockroach, butterfly, spider, prawn, crab, millipede, and scorpion belong to this group.
