  1. The largest gland in our body is the liver.
  2. It is located on the right side of the abdominal cavity.

Functions:

  1. The liver produces bile juice that is involved in the breakdown of fats in the small intestine.
  2. The liver is involved in detoxification where toxins are broken down to release unharmful waste products.
  3. The liver is involved in the synthesis of urea. Urea is a nitrogen-containing waste product of protein metabolism.
