Testis contains numerous Sertoli cells. These form seminiferous tubules. These tubules perform the function of producing sperms, maintaining and storing them.
Located near the Sertoli cells are Leydig's cells. These cells release male sex hormones. Under the effect of LH ( Luteinizing Hormone), these cells release androgen and testosterone.
Testis is the primary male sex organ involved in the process of copulation.
