• Production of wool:​ It involves the following steps:​ Shearing is the first process to obtain wool. In this process, the fleece is removed along with the thin layer of the skin from the sheep.​ ​
• After shearing, the process which is carried out is scouring. In this process, washing of sheared skin with hair is done to remove grease, dust, or dirt out of it.​ ​
• Sorting is the third step which is followed. In this process, the hair of different textures is sorted. ​
• After sorting, burrs are picked out from the hair.
• The fibres are finally dyed in various colors of use.
• The final step is the straightening, combing and rolling the fibres into yarns. These yarns are used to make different type of cloths.
