$(x - 3) (2 x + 1) = (x) (x + 5)$

$\Rightarrow 2 x^{2} + x - 6 x - 3 = x^{2} + 5 x$

$\Rightarrow x^{2} - 10 x - 3 = 0$

$\Rightarrow x = \frac{- (- 10) \pm \sqrt{(- 10)^{2} - 4 (1) (- 3)}}{2}$

$= \frac{10 \pm \sqrt{112}}{2}$

$= 5 \pm \sqrt{28}$
