Let Y be the event that Y speaks the truth.
Then P(X)=60100=35 and P(Y)=50100=12

Also P(Xlie)=135=25 and P(Ylie)=112=12

Now
X and Y contradict each other =[XliesandYtrue]or[XtrueandYlies]

=P(Xlie)×P(Y)+P(X)×P(Ylie)

=25×12+35×12

=210+310

=510

=12
