$x (x + 1) (x - 1) (x + 2) + 1 = 0$

$x (x^{2} - 1) (x + 2) + 1 = 0$

Put $x^{2} + x = y ∴ (y - 1)^{2} = 0$

Ans. $y = 1 ∴ x = \frac{- 1 \pm \sqrt{5}}{2}$
