X,Y and Z enter into a partnership and theirs shares are in the ratio 12:13:14. After two months, X withdraws half of his capital and after 10 months, a profit of Rs. 420 is divided among them. What is Ys share?

Ratio of initial investments=12:13:14=6:4:3.
Let their initial investments be 6x,2x and 3x respectively.
Ratio of their investment: (6x×2)+(3x×10):(4x×12):(3x×12)
42x:48x:36x
7:8:6.
Total profit =420 Rs.
Bs share =420×821=160 Rs.

Thus, Bs share in profit =160 Rs.
