Geitonogamy involves the transfer of pollen of one flower to the stigma of another flower belonging to the same plant.
Cross-pollination is the transfer of pollen from the anther of one flower to the stigma of a genetically different flower. It is also called xenogamy. The term allogamy includes both geitonogamy and xenogamy.
