Let the line joining A and B be divided by the xz-plane at point P in the

ratio λ:1.

Then, we have,

P (6λ+2λ+1,7λ+3λ+1,λ+1λ+1)

Since P lies on the xz-plane, the y-coordinate of P will be zero.

7λ+3λ+1=0

7λ+3=0
