Given equation is:
y=3x2
Comparing this equation with slope intercept form of line
y=mx+b
Slope, m = 3
Intercept = -2

Substitute x=1 in y=3x2
y=3×12
y=1

Now, Substitute y=4 in the equation y=3x2
We get
4=3x2
Adding 2 on both sides
4+2=3x2+2
6=3x
Dividing by 3 on both sides
x=2
