$(y - 6000) α x \Rightarrow (y - 6000) = k x (H ere, k is constant .) Also, (8880 - 6000) = k \times 3 (y = 8880 when x = 3 .) \Rightarrow 2880 = 3 k \Rightarrow k = 960 Thus, w e h a v e : (y - 6000) = 960 x (Equation of variation) ∴ y - 6000 = 960 \times 5 (∵ x = 5) \Rightarrow y - 6000 = 4800 \Rightarrow y = 10800$
