from june, area of low-pressure continue to mount over the north-west region of the country. this attracts trade intervals or imbalance in the winds flow from indian ocean.these winds are trapped by air circulation. these are rich in water vapour. when these fast moving winds strike to hilly areas, this brings the heavy rainfall in northeast. as these winds further travel westwards , the amount of moisture depletes. so there is decrease in rainfall from east to west.
