The correct option is A (2,0)
Given line is y=x+2
Slope of this line is 1
Then, slope of the line perpendicular to the given line will be 1
Let (x1,y1) be a point on y=x+2
y1=x1+2
Equation of the line perpendicular to the given line through (x1,y1) is
y(x1+2)=(xx1)y=x+2(x1+1)
If this line is a tangent to y2=8x,

2(x1+1)=21x1+1=1x1=2
Hence y1=0
The required point is (2,0).
