Yash scored 55 marks in a test, getting 3 marks for each right answer and losing 1 mark for each wrong answer. If 4 marks had been awarded for each correct answer and 2 marks had been deducted for each incorrect answer, then Yash would have scored 70 marks. How many questions were there in the test?

Let number of correct answers be x & wrong be y

Then 3 x- y = 55 (1)

4 x – 2 y = 70

2 x- y = 35 (2)

Equation (1) – (2)

x = 20 & y = 5
