The solution in the flask remains blue


We know that Ammonia NH3 gas is basic in nature.

We know that Acid turns blue litmus red and bases turn red litmus blue.

Now, since blue litmus solution was being sprayed in the flask.

If there is a base present in the flask, the blue litmus solution shouldn't change colour.

Hence, the solution left behind in the flask is blue and will not change colour in this experiment and if red litmus solution was used the colour of the solution would have turned red.
