You are riding in a car. The driver suddenly applies the brakes and you are pushed forward. Who pushed you forward?
The inertia of your body
When the car is moving your entire body is moving along with it.
But when the car starts decelerating the car has a backward force on it by friction and also the car applies similar friction force in backward direction on your back but your heat is still in inertia of motion and is moving forward. So it looks like somebody pushed you forward, but actually the car stopped and your head couldn't stop immediately.
It was your body's own inertia.
