Volume of cube =(edge length)^3 =(3cm)^3 =27cm^3

density =8.0g/cm^3
mass = vol x density
=8.0 x 27 =216 g
hence,
range of mass is zero to 216
hence, spring slide between zero to 216

we see in the picture 0-250g.wt spring balance is the best for measuring this range.
