There are two faces that contain 2. Had it been on only one of the faces, the probability of getting a 2 would have been 18.

Probability of an event A = Number of sample points in event ANumber of sample points in sample spaces
Now, the total number of outcomes = 8
The number of desired outcomes i.e. getting a 2 = 2

Probability of getting a two when the die is rolled = 28 = 14
