1. If the chromosome number in the root tip cell of an onion is 16, then it will have 16 chromosomes at the G1 phase, after the S phase, and even after the M phase.
2. If it has 2C of DNA after the M phase, the DNA content at the G1 phase will be 2C, after S phase 4C, and at G2 phase 4C.
