If the chromosome number in root tip cell of onion is 16, then it will have 16 chromosomes at G1 phase , after S phase and even after M phase.

If it has 2C of DNA after M phase, the DNA content at G1 phase will be 2C, after S phase 4C and at G2 phase 4C.
