You would have noticed that you share some characteristics (such as hair, nose, eyes etc.) from your mother and some from your father. But, if you have seen a plant nursery, all the rose plants of the same color appear to be very similar to each other.

You share two characteristics for each feature(such as your hair, eyes, chin, feet etc.) from both mother and father because it takes two parents to reproduce in human beings. This means that humans reproduce sexually.
Roses on the other hand, all appear to be similar in a nursery because the nursery would have used a single parent plant to grow new individual offspring plants. In fact, many roses cannot reproduce sexually and so asexual reproduction is the only way to propagate them.
