Solution

The correct option is C 6; 10
Ratio of $50 bills to $20 bills = 3:5

Let the number of $50 bills be 3x and the number of $20 bills be 5x.

We get:
3x:5x=3:5

Contribution of $50 bills =3x×50

Contribution of $20 bills =5x×20

According to the question, we can write:
Contribution of $50 bills+Contribution of $20 bills=$500

3x×50+5x×20=500

150x+100x=500

250x=500

x=500250=2

Number of $50 bills =3x=3×2=6

Number of $20 bills =5x=5×2=10
