Ratio of $$ 50$ bills to $$ 20$ bills = 3:5

Let the number of $$ 50$ bills be $3 x$ and the number of $$ 20$ bills be $5 x$ .

We get:
$3 x : 5 x = 3 : 5$

Contribution of $$ 50$ bills $= 3 x \times 50$

Contribution of $$ 20$ bills $= 5 x \times 20$

According to the question, we can write:
$Contribution of $50 bills + Contribution of $20 bills = $ 500$
