Question

Zinc oxide does not show any change in litmus colour

Open in App
Solution

There will be no change in colour as zinc oxide shows acidic as well as basic behaviour, so the overall effect on the litmus paper will be neutral.

In order to put any substance to a litmus test, it must be taken in its aqueous form or solution form. So zinc oxide must also be in aqueous form.
