A chord of a circle, which is twice as long as its radius, is a diameter of the circle. Write True or False. Give reason for your answer

Write True or False:

A chord of a circle, which is twice as long as its radius, is a diameter of the circle.

True.

Any chord whose length is twice as long as the radius of the circle always passes through the centre of the circle and thus, it is known as the diameter of the circle. A line segment having both the endpoints on the circle. It is twice the length of radius i.e. d = 2r. From the diameter, the radius of the circle formula is obtained as r= d/2.
