# A diode detector is used to detect an amplitude modulated wave of 60% modulation by using a condenser of capacity 250pF in parallel with a load resistance 100 kilo ohm. Find the maximum modulated frequency which could be detected by it.

The frequency is given by: $$f=\frac{1}{2\pi \mu \tau }$$ For a combination of resistance and capacitance is given by, τ =RC substituting in the above equation $$f=\frac{1}{2\pi \mu RC}$$ μ=0.6 , R=100KΩ , C=250×10−12F $$f=\frac{1}{9.42*10^{-5}}=10.61KHz$$
