Solution

The correct option is B

60m

Gravitational Force:

  1. The gravitational force between two objects can be defined as the force by which these two objects attract each other.
  2. The gravitational force on the surface of the earth is 6 times the gravitational force on the surface of the moon, this implies the acceleration due to gravity on earth is 6 times the acceleration due to gravity on the moon.

Distance covered:

  1. As the man moves along the surface of the earth or moon, the acceleration due to gravity will have no effect on the velocity of the man. Because the velocity is acting along the surface, whereas the acceleration due to gravity is acting perpendicular to the surface of the earth.
  2. So, the velocity of the man on earth and the moon will remain the same and consequently, the distance will also remain the same.

Hence, the distance covered by the man will be 60 m on the surface of the moon in one minute.
