A particle moves in a circle of radius 20cm. Its linear speed is given by v=2t, where t is in second and v is in m/s. Find the tangential acceleration at T=3s.

Linear speed, v=2t

Tangential acceleration,

at=r×dωdt

dωdt= angular acceleration

v=ωr, v is the initial velocity, ωis the angular velocity.

Step 3. Calculating the tangential acceleration,

The linear speed at t=3s is v=2t=6m/s

at=dvdtat=2m/s2

Hence, the tangential acceleration is 2m/s2.
