Solution

Fusion of Gametes:

  1. The male gamete is sperm, while the female gamete is ovum(egg cell).
  2. The sperm and the egg cell merge during the fertilisation process.
  3. To produce the zygote, the contents of the sperm cell are transported into the egg.
  4. As a result, the final output is a single-celled zygote.
  5. The first diploid cell created by the union of male and female gametes that results in the creation of an embryo is the zygote.
