Sonority: The property of metals to produce a deep ringing sound when struck with another hard object is called sonority and the metal is said to be sonorous.

• Examples: Copper $\left(\mathrm{Cu}\right)$, Aluminium $\left(\mathrm{Al}\right)$, etc.
• Exceptions: Soft metals like Sodium$\left(\mathrm{Na}\right)$ are non-sonorous.

Uses: Sonorous metals are used to make bells in temples, churches, and schools.
