Solution

  • Eighty percent of the bell metal is copper-
    80 gm of copper is found in 100 gm of bell metal. Copper's molecular weight is 64 gm/mol.

MolesofCu=1.5×10206.023×1023=0.25×10-3

100 g of bell metal is included in 80 g of copper.

Massofcopper=64×0.25×10-3g64×0.25×10-3gofCucontains=64×0.25×10380×100=20mg

Hence, The mass of Bell metal which contains 1.5×1020 atoms of copper is 20 mg.
