Solution

The correct option is B

High insulation resistance

Insulation resistance:

The value of insulating resistance is expressed in ohms. Electrical wires, cables, and other electronic components have their insulation resistance measured. Insulation resistance is being utilized to safeguard electrical devices from inadvertent electrical discharge.

Strain gauge:

  1. A strain gauge is an illustration of an electrical sensor that is used to calculate the magnitude of force applied or strain. Whenever varying degrees of force are applied to accurately gauge its resistance, the net production of electric current fluctuates.
  2. A strain gauge connecting component is often an element wire that has been isolated so that its value isn't influenced by external causes.
The value of insulating resistance can change according to factors such as humidity, temperatures, and external influences. Because of these reasons, changes in insulation resistance induce misleading measurements of strain generated in the linking gauge strain element. As a consequence, our electrical equipment isn't protected by the strain gauge.
  3. A high insulation resistance number implies that a very big quantity of current is carried through it, leaving only a very little amount of current to escape through it. As a result, insulating resistance assures the complete safety of electrical equipment and eliminates the possibility of unintentional electrical discharge.

Therefore, option B is correct.
