• The job market and job scenarios keep changing with time. If the education curriculum does not change with time, then the nation will be producing educated youth who cannot meet the demands of the job industry.
• Hence there needs to be more collaboration between education institutions and different industries so that youth are educated in the right direction and in the right fields.
• It is important that different avenues of economic growth must be explored. We cannot have inordinate focus on just one field. For example if all the youth are just trained to be IT engineers, then the supply will be much more than the labour demands of the IT industry.
• Hence the education sector should give varied opportunities for youth as per the aptitude and interests of the youth.
• There should be more focus on expanding the manufacturing sector.
• Education sector should focus on basic science and applied science.
• Education sector should generate youth who are capable of carrying out Research and Development in various fields. The research and developments that took place in the electronics industry boosted the economy of nations that concentrated on those sectors.
• Research and Development in the Defence sector can boost the economy of a nation by generating jobs and making savings in the foreign exchange of a nation.
• Education sector should focus on new fields like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT) etc.
