  3. The composition of the cell wall varies depending on the organism.
  4. In plants, the cell wall is composed of strong fibers of the carbohydrate polymer known as cellulose.
  5. Bacterial cell walls are composed of sugar and an amino acid polymer called peptidoglycan.
  6. And lastly, the main components of fungal cell walls are chitin, glucans, and proteins.
