Difference between trapezium and trapezoid

The trapezium is a four-sided polygon in which one pair of parallel sides are opposite to each other.

The trapezoid is also a four-sided polygon in which one of parallel sides are opposite to each other.

Therefore, both the terms, trapezium and trapezoid are the same, but they are spelt different in different countries.

According to US English, it is trapezoid and according to UK English, it is trapezium.
