Draw a schematic diagram of a circuit consisting of a battery of 3cells of 2V each, a combination of three resistors of 10Ω,20Ω, and connected in parallel, a plug key, and an ammeter, all connected in series. Use this circuit to find the value of the current through each resistor.

Step 1: Given data

Resistance, R1=10ΩR2=20ΩR3=30Ω

Number of cells =3

The voltage of each cell =2V

The total voltage of the battery, V=2×3=6V

Step 2: Calculating the current through each resistor:

Let, the current is I1,I2, and I3 in the resistance R1,R2, and R3.

We know that the voltage (V) remains the same across each resistor (R) in a parallel combination.

The formula: I=VR

Substituting the given values we get-

I1=VR1=610=0.6A

I2=VR2=620=0.3A

I3=VR3=630=0.2A

Therefore, the current through resistor R1,R2,andR3 is 0.6A,0.3A,and0.2A respectively.
